Katherine Sargent comes to us from Weber State University in Ogden, Utah where she earned a Bachelors of Music in Piano Pedagogy. She went on to earn a Masters of Music in piano performance at Southern Methodist University. Katherine was awarded several scholarships throughout her college career. As an intern at Weber State, she taught class piano for non-piano music majors. She has extensive teaching experience and has worked with students of all ages in a variety of areas including private lessons, group lessons, and music education camp. Katherine has been very involved in the Music Teachers National Association, both as a member and an officer. Of late, Katherine has become involved in doing research with smaller keyboards for smaller hands. She continues studies in piano with Dr. Carol Leone at Southern Methodist University.
