Margareta
Wesolowska was
born in Warsaw, Poland, but has lived most of her life in Sweden. She taught
piano since 1989, teaching students of all ages for 5 years in Sweden before
coming to the United States. She attended the University of Lund in Lund, Sweden,
while performing in a touring chamber music ensemble that performed frequently
in southern Sweden. In the United States, Ms. Wesolowska earned a Bachelors
of Music in Piano Performance, Summa cum Laude from Oklahoma City University,
studying with Robert Laughlin. While at O.C.U., Wesolowska taught private lessons
to pre-college and college students. She was on the President’s Honor List,
a member of Phi Kappa Lambda, and was in the National Music Honor Society.
Ms. Wesolowska earned a Masters in Piano Performance and Pedagogy from Southern
Methodist University, where she studied with Alfred Mouledous, and where she
was a recipient of a Meadows Artistic Scholarship Award. She was a teacher
in the SMU Piano Preparatory Department for two years teaching undergraduate
class piano for music majors, as well as private and group piano lessons to
pre-college students. Ms. Wesolowska is fluent in speaking, writing, and reading
Swedish, Polish, and English. Her other interests include reading, history,
hiking, and traveling.
