Adam Salas is a Piano Teacher at Gray School of Music
Adam Salas began his studies at the age of 16 under Dr. Shiho Saito and Joshua Vogel at the Fox River Academy of Art and Music in . This is where he was awarded a full tuition waiver. It was during this time that he realized his passion and potential for the piano. It sparked his musical career as a piano teacher and steered him towards higher education in music.
Adam earned a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance and Music Business from Illinois State University. He studied under Dr. Geoffrey Duce and Dr. Joshua Russell. He has also studied applied organ and accompanying lessons under Dr. Carlyn Morenus and Dr. Tuyen Tonnu respectively.
While attending Illinois State University, he has had the pleasure of accompanying many talented vocalists and instrumentalists. He has also served as pianist for ISU’s Jazz I Ensemble working with renowned jazz musicians including Wayne Bergeron and Dave Pietro.
Adam will be pursuing a Master of Music in Piano Pedagogy and Performance, under the tutelage of Dr. Cathy Lysinger at Southern Methodist University where he was awarded a teaching fellow position.
