Aimee Deibert is a Voice Teacher at Gray School of Music
Ms. Aimee Deibert has been a Choir Director, Musical Theatre Director, and Voice Teacher for the past 10 years in two states and three different countries. Aimee is a Pennsylvania native, and graduated Magna cum Laude from Westminster Choir College with a Bachelor of Music in Music Theory and Composition, Voice Primary. Ms. Deibert continued her education at West Chester University, earning her Post-Baccalaureate Certification in Music Education. She was also a Full Conductor at the Summer Conducting Institute at Oxford University.
Ms. Deibert has had a lengthy and varied performance career, from Nancy in Oliver! to the Mezzo-Soprano soloist in Handel’s Messiah. At Westminster, Aimee was chosen to sing in the nationally-acclaimed, award – winning Williamson Voices, under the direction of Dr. James Jordan. She appears on their recording Angels in the Architecture from 2010. She also regularly performed with Westminster’s Symphonic Choir at Carnegie Hall, Avery Fisher Hall, and the Kimmel Center. Although performance brings her joy, her true passion is teaching. Aimee taught Middle and High School Choir in Pennsylvania for three years before moving to Saudi Arabia and then China to serve as a Choir Director and Voice Teacher. Wherever Aimee has lived, she has also directed and starred in Musical Theatre productions. In2020, covid-19 brought Aimee back to the States from China, where she began teaching as a Head Choir Director in a Middle and High School north of Dallas. She founded the Musical Theatre program at that school, and the Choir Program thrived under her direction. Ms. Deibert is not only passionate about music, but is invested in her students and their musical growth. Aimee leads with kindness and authority of her craft, and tailors all lessons to each individual student’s needs and goals.
Ms. Deibert has led many students to State Competitions in Texas and International Competitions in
China. When she has free time, Aimee loves to cook, travel, spend time with friends and family, check out new restaurants, attend Musical Theatre productions, watch movies, work out, and spend time with her fiance, Chris, and her two cats, Lucy and Charlie.
