Lauren Koszyk is Piano Teacher for Gray School of Music
Lauren Koszyk currently maintains a versatile career as an educator and collaborative pianist in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. As a teacher Ms. Koszyk finds joy in helping students enrich their lives with music. As a pianist and coach she has worked with the Midwest Institute of Opera and Illinois Festival Opera and has accompanied masterclasses given by renowned Metropolitan Opera soprani Angela Brown and Yvonne Redman. She has received numerous grants to present at conferences including the Music Teachers National Association Conference and the Illinois State Music Teachers Association Conference. At the University of North Texas Ms. Koszyk earned her Master of Music in Collaborative Piano with a related field in Early Music and was awarded a Teaching Assistantship and Graduate Assistantship. From Illinois State University she earned her Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance and Bachelor of Arts in German, both summa cum laude. Ms. Koszyk has been presented with top honors by the President of Illinois State University and the Governor of Illinois and has been invited by Steinway Hall Dallas to tour the Steinway & Sons Factory in Astoria, New York. Away from the piano, Ms. Koszyk enjoys practicing yoga, reading, and trying new recipes in the kitchen.
