Isabella Cowart is a Violin Teacher for Gray School of Music
Isabella Cowart is a violinist and teacher originally from East Texas. For the past five years she
has been located in Nashville, TN where she received her Bachelors of Music Performance at
Belmont University under the tutelage of Elisabeth Small, a former student of Dorothy Delay.
While at Belmont, she served as concertmaster of the Belmont Symphony Orchestra while
gigging frequently around the Nashville area. Although classically trained she has experience in
commercial styles and aims to give each student a rounded learning experience: teaching
proper technique alongside fun repertoire. The past three summers Isabella has played for
numerous opera academies in Germany and Italy including Berlin Opera Academy and Saluzzo
Opera Academy playing works ranging from Mozart to Puccini to Strauss. Currently Isabella is
pursuing her Masters of Music with a Violin Performance emphasis at SMU, studying with
Alexander Sitkovetsky.
