William Estes is a Violin Teacher for Gray School of Music
An active performer and an enthusiastic educator, William Estes has been playing and studying the violin for over 20 years. Currently a teaching assistant at the University of North Texas, William is pursuing his Master’s degree in violin performance. William has had experience teaching students of all different ages and strives to make lessons fun and engaging.
In addition to being a devoted teacher, William is also an accomplished performer. At UNT, he has led the symphony orchestra as concertmaster and regularly performs with the UNT Baroque Orchestra. He also plays with the Las Colinas Symphony Orchestra here in Dallas and has recently held positions with the Winston-Salem Symphony, the Greensboro Symphony, and the Fayetteville Symphony in North Carolina. While playing with these groups, he has had the opportunity to play with popular music acts such as Amy Grant, Michael W. Smith, and Deltron 3030.
William moved to Dallas with his wife, Victoria, from North Carolina during the summer of 2016 after they both completed their Bachelor’s degrees in violin performance from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Together, they perform for weddings and various events, both business and social. They both enjoy cooking and traveling together in their free time, as well as keeping their two naughty cats, Thomas and Duchess, from getting into too much trouble!
